2. Review and Complete the Estate Planning Workbook: The estate planning workbook is broken down into a number of sections with questionnaires that will help you organize everything necessary to create your personal estate plan. Sections include your estate planning goals, your assets and debts, your family or others who will be named as beneficiaries and or fiduciaries. Complete as much as possible, and to bring with you to the Initial Consultation Meeting.
3. Schedule an Appointment to Meet: Due to the amount of information to be discussed, we have broken the meetings into an initial consultation meeting and a plan design meeting. Each meeting will last approximately 1 hour.
Initial Consultation Meeting: Your initial consultation meeting will last approximately 1 hour. The primary focus will be to become acquainted and see if we are comfortable working with each other in the years ahead. At this meeting we will review all of the information from your workbook as well as answer your questions or concerns. Lastly, we will discuss the range of fees for the legal services necessary to accomplish your goals and to address your concerns so you can achieve peace of mind.
Plan Design Meeting: After the initial consultation, we will set up the Plan Design Meeting. This meeting will also last approximately 1 hour. At the Plan Design Meeting we will review all of the information you have provided and outline all of the methods and documents needed to satisfy all of your estate planning goals.
After reviewing the plan outline, a fixed fee amount will be quoted to draft and implement the plan. Once you make the decision to go forward with drafting and implementing the plan we will get to work right away.
4. Execute your New Estate Plan: After your plan is outlined and your documents are drafted we will schedule a meeting to review and put your estate plan into action. With your newly implemented estate plan you can enjoy the peace of mind knowing that you and your family’s assets are protected.
